We have programs available at the Davenport and Palmer YMCA Early Learning Centers
- Preschool will be taught by a certified teacher and is a part of the Statewide Voluntary Preschool Program
- To qualify for this program your child has to be 4 by September 15th, 2024.
- This Program is funded by the Department of Education.
- Fully funded by the Department of Education (no charge to participants)
- No income guidelines to qualify for participation
Program Operations
- Monday– Friday
- Drop Off – 8:40 A.M.
- Pick Up – 11:10 A.M.
We will focus on the following criteria:
- Social/ Emotional Development
- Physical Development
- Cognitive Development
- Language Development
- This program is licensed by the Iowa Department of Human Services
Daily Schedule:
- Large Group Circle Time
- Small Group Table Work
- Free Choice Centers
- Snack
- Indoor/ Outdoor Large Motor
Parent Provides:
- Registration due by 9/15/24
- Child’s Immunization Record
- Parents will be asked to sign up for providing snack on a monthly basis
- Water Bottle for Classroom
- Transportation to and from School

Universal Preschool in Davenport
- A unique collaboration between the YMCA and Davenport Schools.
- Funded by the Department of Education
- No income guidelines to qualify for participation
- The “Universal Preschool” with no charge is for 2 hours of the full-day program
- Children must be 4 years old by September 15th of the current school year

- Palmer YMCA Learning Center, 724 N Harrison Street
