Green Whistle Initiative
Starting in Fall 2026, you may notice some of our officials will have special green whistles while refereeing sports. This is an identifier for referees in our Youth Sports program who are under the age of 18. Many of these officials are working their first job or one of their first jobs; as such we want to create an atmosphere of respect and encouragement. These officials deserve the opportunity to learn refereeing in a safe and respectful environment; we ask that you be supportive of all of our officials, but especially ones identified with a green whistle.
