Frequently Asked Questions

  • When does the park open fully?
    • The park opens 7 days a week starting on June 7th. We will open it up during normal public operating hours from 1-7pm from May 24th-26th, and May 31st-June 1st
  • What is the required height to use the large water slides?
    • 48 inches or taller
  • Do I need to be in the water with my kids?
    • Our rule at all YMCAIMV aquatic facilities is for any children under the age of 8, there must be 1 adult for every 3 children within arms reach in the pool.
  • Can I bring outside food and drinks?
    • We are not allowing outside food, drinks, or coolers into the water park. We have a concessions and snack area in the park you can purchase from. We will allow water bottles for group exercise classes.
  • Can I bring inflatables into the park?
    • We will allow for Coast Guard approved inflatables. We will have life jackets available in the park for those who need them.
  • Family pricing is $20, how many people does that cover?
    • The Family price for a day pass covers just that: the family. It covers adults and children who live in the same residence all at one price.
  • I’m a YMCAIMV member but my children and/or spouse aren’t, do they have to get a day pass?
    • They do, however, you can add them to your YMCAIMV membership at any time. That would give them access to all of our locations without having to purchase a day pass!
  • I have a membership with a different YMCA association, does that get me in for no additional fee?
    • Unlike our fitness facilities, YMCA members from associations that are not YMCA of the Iowa Mississippi Valley will have to purchase a day pass to use the water park.
  • I see people using the park during the morning hours, are you open during that time?
    • We will be running YMCA programs, camps, and swimming lessons during the morning so the park will not be open to the public during that time.
  • Can we book a birthday party at the water park?
    • We will allow for full-park rentals after-hours on weekends for parties and outings. If you would like more information click here to send us a message!
  • Will you do outdoor swim lessons?
    • We will! You can find the list of classes here!
  • Can I bring my own chair?
    • We will have chairs at the park, outside chairs will not be allowed (does not apply to chairs that are medically necessary such as a wheelchair)
