Soft Stick Lacrosse to the Scott County Family Y, thanks in part to a generous grant from USLacrosse Association.

Soft Stick Lacrosse does not use the conventional lacrosse equipment.  This game focuses on fundamental stick handling, movement with & without the ball, passing and shooting.   For this game, the pocket on the stick is deeper and the ball is super soft.  Games are short-sided and fast-paced.

Program Information

Our Soft Lacrosse program will introduce the history of the game while teaching the fundamental skills of cradling, scooping, throwing and catching.  We will play short sided games that are fast and full of excitement.  NO contact, no stick checks!  Open to Boys and Girls.  SCFY athletes may participate alongside the Two Rivers YMCA athletes.

When: Begins April 2nd; Every Tuesday 6-7:30pm  through May 7

Where: Downtown Davenport YMCA

Grade Groups & Times:   

•  1st/2nd Grade 5:30pm
• 3rd/4th Grade 6:30pm

Fees: $15 Members/$25 Community Registration starts Jan 2019

$25 Members/$35 Community
